Native to Central America, the vanilla plant belongs to the orchid family, with the typical liana shape that grows in nature in humid tropical forests. There are numerous vanilla varieties, of which the most virtuous is vanilla tahitensis. A powerful, enveloping sillage of vanilla, enriched with floral notes of Ylang Ylang absolute and Champaca, a fruity-smelling orange-yellow flower also known as the flower of the ‘tree of joy scent’.
