Citrus fruits, which today evoke the warmth of the Mediterranean, have Asian origins: sparkling citron was brought to Europe by ancient Hellenic expeditions, while mandarin and grapefruit have roots in China and Southeast Asia. These sunny fruits are refreshed by the delicate anise notes of tarragon and coriander, adding a peppery, sugary touch. Neroli, from its bitter orange blossom, softens the accords with a green freshness.
